ICLEI-Oceania invites you to celebrate a decade of achievement for local governments in sustainability. Regardless of if you're a newcomer or a participant from 1997-8, we've all played an important role in the growth and success of ICLEI's campaigns and programs.

This Gala Dinner is a special recognition that acknowledges councils work with ICLEI-A/NZ over the last decade in a way that aims to match the inspiring performance that has produced the accumulated results measured by ICLEI-A/NZ over the last 10 years. 

Some of the significant players in this achievement will tell their stories and share their impressions of the journey with ICLEI-A/NZ to become more sustainable. This will be a night to remember.

The Venue: We are proud to announce that the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) will be the location for the Gala Dinner. This location was chosen in part due to it's proximity to the Grand Hyatt, being walking distance from the NGV.

Other "Green Event" aspects of this venue include:  

   1. A portion of NGV's energy is Green Power
   2. Recycled water is used for the water features, and watering the gardens
   3. 90% of NGV staff commute using Public Transport

Please note that the unpredictable nature of Melbourne weather in May is reason to be prepared for anything-as the dinner venue is both within 15 mins walking distance of hotels and Conference venue and a short tram ride away we still recommend you are prepared for any inclement weather.
